Governor Information

Governance

Our aims

  • To help shape the vision and direction of the school.
  • To ensure that all pupils and staff are safe.
  • To ensure that the school fulfils its statutory duties.
  • To have a good understanding of the strengths of the school and the areas for development.
  • To challenge and support the Leadership Team. This includes holding to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, the performance management of staff and to oversee the financial performance of the school and ensure value for money.

What we do

In addition to five Full Governing Body meetings a year, smaller groups of governors meet each term in committees to consider various aspects of running the school:

  • School Improvement Committee
  • Staffing, Finance and General Purposes Committee

School Governors 2020-2021

The Chair of Governors is Stephanie Nuttall who can be contacted via the school office.

The Safeguarding Governor is Sanobir Mammood.
