It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week. We are really lucky at Newhall Park as we have a safe building with no RAAC (reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete) so we have been able to fully open and begin our new school year. Our thoughts are with schools and their communities around the country who have not been so lucky.
As always we had lots of exciting projects taking place over the summer. All the classrooms across Years 3/4/5 have been fully decorated over the summer. This means that in the last 12 months Early Years, KS1 and the majority of KS2 have been decorated. The nurture room has also been decorated and has a new carpet. All the cupboards and display cabinets in school have been upgraded and look really smart. Just prior to the summer break we had new Reading Areas built in all the shared areas across school. The learning environment is purposeful, calm and inclusive. The school looks amazing! I have included some photographs below.
Sadly last term we said goodbye to three members of staff. Miss Azam, Mrs Patel and Miss Morrison have all moved on. We wish them all every success and happiness and thank them for the wonderful work they did at Newhall Park. We welcome to our team, Mrs Parkes (Early Years Phase Leader), Miss Haigh (Higher Level Teaching Assistant), Miss Grieveson (Early Years), Miss Johnson (Early Years) and Mrs Hameed (Lunchtime Supervisor).
As usual staff will be out on the path each morning and evening. Please come and talk to us and ask about anything that we can help you with.
